Chasing the Sun

“I don’t have a diary, I don’t write things into a diary. I imprint myself into the sky and when the sunlight shines brightly, I can stand under the sun’s rays and everything I have imprinted of myself into the sky, I will begin to see again, feel again, remember. And when the wind begins to blow, it blows the details over my face, and I remember everything I left in the sky and see new things being born. I am unwritten.” ~C. JoyBell C.

I’m going to remember the days I imprinted myself into the sky. I fought my nocturnal ways to be awake for more sunrises; I lay under more starry, moonlit, thunderous night skies than I ever have before. And sunsets became my daily dose of inspiration.

While the world slept, I welcomed the first rays photographing a fairy tale…
In the quiet, in that mist, in that isolation – I present you the best sunrises around the world

Sarah Island, Boston

Yes, I’m a believer.
I believe that miracles can happen.
I believe that the strong can stand up for the weak.
I believe our voice can speak for the voiceless
This Morning, as I stand amidst the wilderness of the World’s End, Sarah Island, Boston…
I BELIEVE!

Mahabalipuram Shore Temple
We all have two lives…The second one starts when we realise we only have one.
Admiring the rising sun over the masterpiece built by the Pallavas in the 8th century…Mahabalipuram Shore Temple
mountains of Colorado
I thrive on adversity. There is no difficulty that cannot be met.
I fight alone. Because there is so much and so many people to fight for.
As I hit the scenic highway behind the mountains of Colorado I remember – We shape our fate and we manifest our own destiny.
Cadillac Mountain
My love story with exploration is old. So my trek to the Cadillac Mountain, in search of the first rays in the -16 °c is a tad bit special. It was in this mountain of the world that I found love, camaraderie and brotherhood. It is here that I learnt how to keep moving ahead even when your bones creak and your body shake from exhaustion. It is here that I learnt how never to break, never to give up.
Maroon Bells, USA
A reflective lake and two giant snow-striped mountaintops, anchor a blissful panorama exemplified by a symphony of color that changes with the seasons…One solitary moment of peace. Maroon Bells, USA
Scituate Shoreline, Massachusetts
Only when you don’t know where to turn, has your journey truly begun. Scituate Shoreline, Massachusetts. Sunsets in Scituate hold a special place. The way the light reflects on the water offers one of those great moments that will always be remembered — a feeling of tranquility.
Jefferson Memorial
The cherry blossoms are on the verge of springing to life in Washington, D.C., and these fresh blooms offer the perfect frame for some of US’s most historic buildings — like the Jefferson Memorial seen in the photo above beyond the cherry blossoms at sunrise.
The blooms are lovely — but short-lived. After 3 long years of wait, managed to capture the blooms and the first rays ❤
Gandikota is a village in Kadapa district
Gandikota is a village in Kadapa district on the banks of river Penna. It is quite popular for its spectacular gorge formed due to the river. Is it no less than Grand Canyon. The view from the bumpy stretch under the twinkling stars was delightful.
Gandikota
The amazing view of the impassable deep valley and the sunrise…just WoW! @Gandikota, AP
Grape Island
The sunset view from the Grape Island. This was my 75th camping…Grape Island, Boston. Wanted to enjoy the solitude and wilderness of the islands located on the international border. So chose to camp on a rainy day! Ended up being a lone camper enjoying Ilayaraja’s Music throughout the night. One lifetime experience it was!
Harangi backwaters Coorg, Karnataka
That evening, when I went walking around Harangi backwaters (Coorg, Karnataka)…Sky provided enough drama for me to keep up.
Mandalpatti, Western Ghats of Karnataka
SERENITY: Nested in the scenic Western Ghats of Karnataka, the trail passes through a range of never ending mountains, serpentine roads and beautiful estates. Not to forget about the challenging climb to Mandalpatti which is worth to see the virginity of the nature.
Annamalai Tiger Reserve Forest Range
Day broke with the first rays of the sun making their way through gaps between trees, casting a golden glow across the Annamalai Tiger Reserve Forest Range. As it got brighter, signs of a forest getting ready for another day began with deep hooting call of a Langur claiming his territory. A jungle fowl’s call was responded to by one, or maybe two. There were a number of other bird calls, that I couldn’t quite place. I stood there still – mesmerized by the beauty of mother Nature.
Kaup Beach, Udupi- Karnataka
The beauty of Kaup Beach, Udupi- Karnataka is something to behold. Perhaps one of the best things to do here to sit back and watch the splendid sunset near the old light house and as the dwindling light reflects on waters of the mighty Arabian Sea, you would know that this is what paradise looks like.
