Day 1 – Sangla: The Beginning of the Dream
That one dream that was in my mind since my seventh grade days – “I want to see the snow leopard in person”. I made my first attempt in 2023 in Ulle village of Ladakh;
I only saw its footprints on the snow-capped mountains. I went to the same place again in March 2024 — luck was on my side then; I was able to capture some beautiful moments on my camera.
That experience lit an even deeper fire in my soul. With the same eagerness, in 2025, we left Chandigarh and started our journey towards Spiti Valle
First day stay – Sangla. The small valley village nestled amidst the snow-capped mountains shone golden in the evening light. Although the people there lived simply, their laughter warmed even the mountains.

spitispitiIn the evening, we all sat together in front of the mountain peaks. As the sun slowly set, the sky turned into a painting of red and orange. At that moment, a voice in my mind said – “This is the first step of that dream, the beginning of my path towards the snow leopard.”
