Tour Itinerary
Day 1
- Arrival and Local Exploration
- Arrival: Reach Srinagar and check into your houseboat
- Dal Lake: Take a shikara ride on the frozen Dal Lake and enjoy the stunning views of the snow-capped mountains
- And other local site seeing (Tulip Garden , Hazratbal Shrine, etc)
- Old City: Wander through the old city of Srinagar, visit the Jamia Masjid, and explore the local handicraft shops
- Lal Chowk: Shop for pashmina shawls, carpets, and other local crafts at Lal Chowk
Day 2
- Day Trip to Gulmarg
- After breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg
- Spend the day sightseeing the picturesque locales
- Enjoy activities like skiing, snowboarding, and a ride on the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world
- Evening: Return to Srinagar
Day 3
- Day Trip to Sonmarg
- After an early breakfast, proceed to Sonmarg (98 km / 3 hrs) for a full-day excursion to the “Meadows of Gold
- ” Enjoy a pony ride to the Thajwas Glacier (ponies can be hired directly)
- Explore the meadows, snow-covered mountains, and glaciers
- Evening: Return to Srinagar
Day 4
- Day Trip to Pahalgam
- After Breakfast: Proceed to Pahalgam, known as “The Valley of Shepherds”
- En-route: Visit saffron fields in Pampore, Avanti Swami Temple, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu), and enjoy the beautiful countryside
- In Pahalgam: Walk along pony trails, enjoy the Lidder Stream, and take in the magnificent view of the mountains
- Evening: Return to Srinagar
Day 5
- Train journey to and from Banihal (Optional)
- The train route from Banihal to Srinagar covers a distance of approximately 79 kilometers taking about 1 hour and 31 minutes one way
- Covered completely with snow and pass through tunnels
- Return to hotel or to airport
